Please see the video for this week’s update.
Here are the details of the Art Project mentioned in the video:
During this lockdown our lives have been made so much easier thanks to the incredible work of frontline staff including doctors, nurses, paramedics, hospital and GP support staff, pharmacists and pharmacy workers, cleaners, rubbish collectors, shopkeepers, Gardai, emergency service staff, delivery staff, post workers, volunteers and many others. These people have continued to go to work or have volunteered to help those in their local community to help keep services open for us all.
To show our appreciation for their invaluable work we will run a whole school Art competition next week. The challenge is to create a piece of art that shows your appreciation for our frontline workers and volunteers. It can be a poster, a painting, a photo, a 3D object, anything which you think says a big THANK YOU.
Send a photo of your finished piece by Sunday 30th May and a winner will be picked the following week. A winner will be selected from Infants to Second and another from 3rd to 6th. The prizes will be a token from the Book Centre.
Please do not send submissions via Seesaw – follow the link to submit your work https://newtownjs-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/mdeleastar_njs_ie/EnDTn5jNsH1GqcQqOsKNNUABdOxpbu7xMfDM6Golw50bDA
We will create a whole school video to show off your beautiful art work and uploading to the blog once all submissions are in! We may also send the video to some of the Front Line Hereos.
Participation in the competition will be deemed consent to the online sharing of the submitted image.
